About Me
Coding Journey
I began my coding journey in high school, taking an intro to java course. Starting with Java, I quickly moved on to python in college. In my free time, I have learnt web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm now expanding my skills into full-stack development, working on real-world projects like cmertz.dev. With websites being full of trackers an ads, I have found an interest in minimalism and no useless Javascript. For example, this website was built with only 77 lines of Javascript.
Personal Hobbies
Outside of coding, I enjoy sports like football, soccer and skiing, as well as cars, gaming, babysitting and experimenting with Linux distros. I also enjoy building PCs, exploring new technologies, and finding ways to become an efficient developer. This website was made on Fedora with the PC that I have built.
Unrelated Work
Alongside my studies, I've worked as a delivery driver for DoorDash and Ubereats. This role taught me time management, adaptability, and problem-solving—skills I now apply to my tech projects. I also worked for GameGym, a company that gives underprivledged kids the chance to play video games. My role included setting up the PCs and teaching them how to play.
